Curtin University Master of Architecture Students Winning Proposals 2020
In November 2020 Kilmore Group were pleased to work together with the Master of Architecture students and tutors from the Advanced Architecture Unit at Curtin University. The team included:
- Design students: Kartika Kumalasari, Rozhan Taha and Tin Tu.
- Tutors: David Smith, Andrei Smolik and Daniel Giuffre.
- Kilmore Group: John O’Donnell, Janneke Bos and Liam Jackman.
They collaboratively did a lot of testing, thereby perfecting the production of the panels in lead-time on the CNC machine and visual outcome when the structure is put together. Janneke Kilmore Groups Design Drafter, shared her experience on LinkedIn saying:
I’m very pleased and honoured for the opportunity to work together with the Master of Architecture students and tutors from the Advanced Architecture unit at Curtin University, helping them fabricate plywood panels for their amazing pavilions using our CNC routers at the Kilmore Group workshop.

Below are the three selected proposals to be built by our Master of Architecture students from the Advanced Architecture unit at Curtin University. Well done to Kartika Kumalasari, Rozhan Taha and Tin Tu. Each class will work together as a team to develop, detail, fabricate and assemble each of these pavilions.
Here are some pictures of the finished pavilions at Curtin University and to my opinion, they came out looking absolutely amazing!
