Creating a better tomorrow, together…
We have embraced a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility in our construction processes. At Kilmore Group, we recognise the significance of reducing our carbon footprint and implementing eco-friendly practices.
Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated through our alignment with industry frameworks and guidelines, enabling us to take a leadership role in promoting sustainable construction.
By prioritising waste reduction, energy conservation and sustainable practices – we strive to create a better future for the environment, community and future generations.
Environmental
Waste Reduction
Kilmore Group recognises the importance of sustainability in construction and has taken proactive steps to reduce waste in all stages of our projects.
Kilmore Group conducts the following activities on all projects:
- efficient material ordering and management systems
- minimisation of over-ordering and excess waste on-site
- implementing on-site and off-site recycling programs to avoid landfill
- reduction of unnecessary packaging by opting for bulk deliveries and using reusable containers.
These efforts not only benefit the environment by reducing waste, but they also provide cost savings for the company by reducing waste disposal fees and maximising the use of materials.
“Net Zero” Greenhouse Emissions
As part of Kilmore Groups Sustainability Strategy, we aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by implementing the following:
- using energy-efficient equipment
- sourcing materials locally to reduce transportation emissions
- using renewable energy sources
- incorporating green building design principles into projects
- opting for low-emission building materials and products
- encouraging carpooling and public transportation use among workers
- implementing comprehensive waste management plans to minimise landfill waste.
By taking these steps, we can reduce our impact on the environment and contribute to a sustainable future.
Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) Recycling
Kilmore Group’s investment in its own Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) recycling plant has numerous environmental benefits.
By recycling construction waste at our own facility, we are able to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and minimise our carbon footprint.
Additionally, by implementing this closed-loop system, Kilmore Group is able to provide this service to other contractors, reduce our environmental impact, conserve resources, and set a positive example for the construction industry.
This investment in sustainability shows our company’s commitment to reducing its impact on the environment.
Social
Equal Opportunity
Kilmore Group is committed to equal opportunity and providing opportunities to grow within in the workplace. Combined with our Diversity Policy, we have implemented various initiatives to promote inclusivity in the workplace – providing benefits and accessibility to all employees.
We provide job training and development opportunities for employees to help them build the skills needed to succeed in the industry. By investing in our workforce, Kilmore Group is able to attract and retain talented employees, foster a positive work environment and drive business success.
Additionally, the company’s commitment to apprenticeships helps to address the skills gap in the construction industry, providing young people with a path to a rewarding career. Overall, Kilmore Group’s focus on equal opportunity and apprenticeships demonstrates its commitment to its employees and the wider community.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Kilmore Group is in the first stages of implementing a Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to promote reconciliation between First Nation, Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal peoples.
The objectives of this plan include initiatives to:
- increase First Nation business and procurement opportunities

Kilmore Group is committed to being part of a reconciled and united Australia.
